New Sermon Series: Fear, Love, and Trust
Life often appears a desolate land. Spiritual “highs” are rare. Divine presence seems distant. Bold faith seems a dreamy ideal. We are living more in exile than in a promised land. We are more in Babylon than Jerusalem. We are more in a foreign land than the safety of home. How do we live in this distant land? How do we have faith in the desert? How do we bear witness to the living God in a place that is dead? To such an age belong the Daniels, those who live in exile and yet fear, love, and trust in God above all things. In this desolate winter season, we devote ourselves to Daniel’s story.
