Sermon 10-10-10 "Faith"

Faith refers to two things. Faith is the object of what we believe in and also the act of believing and trusting in something. Our faith—the Christian faith—has as its object and rest in Jesus Christ. The act of having faith in Him is the grasp of reality. Robert Kolb writes, “Faith…is the very core of our being. It is our basic grasp on reality. If faith is misplaced, then all of life is skewed.” Paul expresses this in Romans by saying that faith is owned inwardly and expressed outwardly.
