Sermon 01-09-11 "Boundless Scope"

In the church calendar, Jesus gets a 12 day birthday celebration (the 12 days of Christmas). Christmas is officially ended by Epiphany, which celebrates the manifestation of Christ to the Gentiles and the visit of the Wise Men to the Christ child. Epiphany is traditionally celebrated on January 6. With the story of these Eastern sages, we are reminded of the global nature of the gospel. The Christ-child’s significance has no limits, and knows no boundaries.
